libcholmod1.7.1 software package provides sparse Cholesky factorization library for sparse matrices, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcholmod1.7.1
libcholmod1.7.1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcholmod1.7.1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcholmod1.7.1 *
